About the Project

Worklog is a SaaS-based internal project tracking solution designed to enhance team productivity by allowing users to log working hours, record milestones, and monitor project progress in real time. Built for growing teams that need visibility and efficiency without complex overhead, Worklog turns manual project oversight into an automated, centralized process.



The Challenges

  • Disorganized Tracking: Teams relied on spreadsheets or disconnected tools, which fragmented progress visibility.

  • No Real-Time Oversight: Managers couldn’t monitor live updates or detect delays until after milestones were missed.

  • Lack of Accountability: Without a unified system, tracking individual contributions and project effort was inconsistent.

  • Time Wastage on Reporting: Manual updates consumed valuable work hours and still resulted in incomplete data.


Our Approach

To solve these issues, we focused on building a lean, intuitive, and fully integrated application for internal use. Our approach prioritized:

  • Automation First: Reduce manual effort by auto-updating project statuses based on time logs.

  • Real-Time Data: Ensure every logged hour and milestone immediately reflects on dashboards for all stakeholders.

  • Ease of Use: Keep the interface minimal and user-focused, requiring little to no onboarding time.

  • Modular Scalability: Lay the groundwork for future expansion like billable hours, client dashboards, or advanced analytics.




Web Development

  • Dashboard View: Developed a real-time overview of team activity, milestones achieved, and total hours logged.

  • Project & Task Modules: Created structured hierarchies for projects, with detailed milestone and sub-task management.

  • Time Logging System: Enabled users to log hours against specific tasks and projects with timestamps and descriptions.

  • Auto Status Sync: Built logic to auto-update project status based on milestone and time entry thresholds.

  • Role-Based Access: Admins can view all team activity while users see only their relevant tasks and logs.

  • Reports Export: Enabled CSV/PDF export for internal reviews or HR integration.


Mobile Development

  • Mobile-Friendly UI: Developed a responsive mobile interface for easy time logging on the go.

  • Quick Log Feature: Enabled fast-add entries for start/stop work sessions with minimal inputs.

  • Milestone Check-in: Allowed mobile users to update task or milestone status directly from their phone.

  • Push Notifications: Integrated reminders for pending task logs or nearing deadlines.

  • Offline Mode (Optional): Users can log work offline, which syncs once connectivity is restored.
